People are leaving Nigeria for various reasons, religious fighting between christians and muslims, families who fear the the ritual of female genital mutalation (FGM) and the corruption that perpetuates the poverty. Leaving the West coast of Africa, some of these people have come to the West coast of Ireland seeking to begin a new life. This is a series of images from Nigerian churches in Galway meeting on industrial estates around the outskirts of the city. This project looks at the simplicity of their faith and their surroundings that contradicts with their projected image of prosperity and success.
Everything is said and done in the Mighty name of Jesus!
